The well known adverts of a certain deodorant and antiperspirant for men associated the strap line ‘The Lynx Effect’ to their products as tongue-in-cheek humour that supposedly made the man suddenly irresistible to women when any women was in close proximity of the man wearing the deodorant.
They are one of my favourite adverts, and this is a tongue-in-cheek nod to the creators and their humour behind those adverts.
