SAKURA

Artist: iSAW

NFT: Sakura

One thing Japan is famed for is their love affair with blossom trees, in particularly cherry blossom trees.

Sakura is a very specific Japanese word for ‘viewing cherry blossom’. The ancient custom of Sakura has been a tradition dating back many centuries. The purpose of Sakura is to spend time outdoors appreciating natures beauty, ponder the essence of life and to welcome the changing of the seasons, where the cherry tree seems to signify this tradition so elegantly, it is the highlight of all Japanese calendars every year.

This knowledge was the inspiration behind the artwork.
